Good Morning

I realize that at the moment that I am posting this it is already afternoon. But this poem was written at 5:30 this morning, so I think I have the right to call it "Good Morning".

Quite obviously not my photo, since 5am, in my pajamas and wrapped in my blanket with my feet stuck in the hot tub is not the ideal time for photography. Found on Pinterest.

Such a gentle sunrise.
The world wakes up and I chuckle,
For I have been up for hours.
And that poem on my heart breaks through my lips like praise.
Good morning.
The hymn of the birds has risen,
Stretching to the limits of this cathedral world
As the sun peeks through blue and green stained glass
To paint this lovely earth again.
This is why night ends, for joy,
Joy is carried along with the dawn.

Psst! I also have an announcement of epic proportions! Me and one of my bestest ever friends, the unmatched Candence Declan, are doing a bit of a blog/writing challenge! Basically, we are going to be co-writing a continuous story on our blogs. A part of this story will be posted each Monday, either on mine or Candence's blogs. The first part will be mine, so stop by on Monday for the first part! And then the following Monday, Candence will have the next part on her blog. Make sense? If it doesn't, ask Candence. She's better at words than me. :-) See you Monday!

    1. Haha yay I'm glad I'm not terrible lame if I use Pinterest pictures!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! The title for my blog is actually taken from the lyrics from one of my favorite songs by my favorite artist: "Caught me by Surprise" by Colony House. Basically, I love rain, and I really love the symbolism of living in this world of, oftentimes, spiritual rain--yet through Christ we can walk the miles in the rain. Does that make any sense?

  6. Tomorrow you have to post the story thing. It's always funny because I don't realize Monday is after Sunday when it's Sunday. And then Monday comes and I'm like, "wait whut wher did u com from" XD

Your poems are so wonderful. And I love them. And I often don't have much to say on them. And right now I'm very tired but I need to comment on this post. SO THIS POEM IS GREAT, YOU GOT THAT? I ALWAYS WANT TO READ YOUR WRITING.

I think this blog is very good for you. Because you're always afraid to share your writing and things, but God is opening you up. He's letting you bloom. That's so special to me because I get to see you bloom. I get to watch the seed in His garden bloom. That is too precious for me. *dies* I love you and your posts and your blog, Hannah Joy. <3

    1. Yes, tomorrow. I'm actually super excited. I know, Monday just kind of springs out at you randomly. XD But it will be a good sort of Monday because I'm working at the best place on earth. :-)

I'm so glad you like my poems. I'm always like, "Oh dear, poem u go into the universe and be judged 5ever." I'm glad you are commenting even though you're tired. That means you = amazing friend. THANK YOU. SO MUCH. YOU DA BEST. <3 <3 <3 I LIVE for your writing, man. So it goes both ways.

I think this blog is good for me too. Because I'm like, "Now I have to share stuff." In the words of Fred, "I mean it's scary, but seriously, how cool?" XD And I do want to bloom so that I can show more and more of Him because He is my beauty and my strength, man. Anyway, yeah. I can't see it in myself but I can see it in YOU. BOOM. <3 I LOVE YOU AND YOUR POSTS TOO!!!!. Stay amastic, Candence Declan.

I shall start the story tomorrow. *wiggles eyebrows*
