Good Morning

I realize that at the moment that I am posting this it is already afternoon. But this poem was written at 5:30 this morning, so I think I have the right to call it "Good Morning".

Quite obviously not my photo, since 5am, in my pajamas and wrapped in my blanket with my feet stuck in the hot tub is not the ideal time for photography. Found on Pinterest.

Such a gentle sunrise.
The world wakes up and I chuckle,
For I have been up for hours.
And that poem on my heart breaks through my lips like praise.
Good morning.
The hymn of the birds has risen,
Stretching to the limits of this cathedral world
As the sun peeks through blue and green stained glass
To paint this lovely earth again.
This is why night ends, for joy,
Joy is carried along with the dawn.
Psst! I also have an announcement of epic proportions! Me and one of my bestest ever friends, the unmatched Candence Declan, are doing a bit of a blog/writing challenge! Basically, we are going to be co-writing a continuous story on our blogs. A part of this story will be posted each Monday, either on mine or Candence's blogs. The first part will be mine, so stop by on Monday for the first part! And then the following Monday, Candence will have the next part on her blog. Make sense? If it doesn't, ask Candence. She's better at words than me. :-) See you Monday!

  1. This poem is like my feelings about the morning put into words. How funny. XD

    1. Well, good then, I must have captured the essence of the morning. :-) Schmanks for the comment!

  2. I am sick right now with the stomach flu, but I went outside at eight this morning to take photos, I felt the exact same way.

    xoxo Morning

    1. Morning, you are incredible if you are taking pictures when you have the stomach flu. Therefore I applaud you thoroughly. *standing ovation* *sends you vitamin C and Echinacea and chyawanprash and also get well soon cards and honey and lemon tea* Hope you feel better soon!!!! <3

  3. Haha *highfives* for using Pinterest pictures. Sometimes I'm just in a bit of a lazy mood, and out comes my favorite picture reference :)
Lovely poem! also, random random question; Why did you decide on your blog title?

    Chloe | Curious Ramblings

    1. Haha yay I'm glad I'm not terrible lame if I use Pinterest pictures!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! The title for my blog is actually taken from the lyrics from one of my favorite songs by my favorite artist: "Caught me by Surprise" by Colony House. Basically, I love rain, and I really love the symbolism of living in this world of, oftentimes, spiritual rain--yet through Christ we can walk the miles in the rain. Does that make any sense?

  4. Dass a goot poem, gurl.

ANNNNNNNNNNNND OKAY I'M EXCITED ABOUT THE CONTINUOUS STORY. DO I GET TO FANART IF I HAVE TIME? DO I? DO I? (and did you steal the idea from Amy and me and the letter game we never finished?)

    1. Dankeschoen!

And I prefer the term inspired. I was INSPIRED by the awesome letter game.

    2. GESUNDHEIT. (haaaaaaaaa, I'm so funny)

.... yeah, so you totally stole it. lol.

  5. This is such a beautiful poem!
And I also can't wait to see the continuous story :)

    1. Thank you, Lauren! You are too kind.

And yay! I'm glad you're excited! I am excited. :-D It's going to be fabulous.

  6. Tomorrow you have to post the story thing. It's always funny because I don't realize Monday is after Sunday when it's Sunday. And then Monday comes and I'm like, "wait whut wher did u com from" XD

Your poems are so wonderful. And I love them. And I often don't have much to say on them. And right now I'm very tired but I need to comment on this post. SO THIS POEM IS GREAT, YOU GOT THAT? I ALWAYS WANT TO READ YOUR WRITING.

I think this blog is very good for you. Because you're always afraid to share your writing and things, but God is opening you up. He's letting you bloom. That's so special to me because I get to see you bloom. I get to watch the seed in His garden bloom. That is too precious for me. *dies* I love you and your posts and your blog, Hannah Joy. <3

    1. Yes, tomorrow. I'm actually super excited. I know, Monday just kind of springs out at you randomly. XD But it will be a good sort of Monday because I'm working at the best place on earth. :-)

I'm so glad you like my poems. I'm always like, "Oh dear, poem u go into the universe and be judged 5ever." I'm glad you are commenting even though you're tired. That means you = amazing friend. THANK YOU. SO MUCH. YOU DA BEST. <3 <3 <3 I LIVE for your writing, man. So it goes both ways.

I think this blog is good for me too. Because I'm like, "Now I have to share stuff." In the words of Fred, "I mean it's scary, but seriously, how cool?" XD And I do want to bloom so that I can show more and more of Him because He is my beauty and my strength, man. Anyway, yeah. I can't see it in myself but I can see it in YOU. BOOM. <3 I LOVE YOU AND YOUR POSTS TOO!!!!. Stay amastic, Candence Declan.

I shall start the story tomorrow. *wiggles eyebrows*

Hey-o! I like comments a lot. Please comment. I'll write back. I'll send you virtual chocolate and all that good stuff if you do. I'm not desperate. Maybe. Just comment, wouldja?
